Several precautions for selecting quartz stone countertops

Quartz stone countertop is a new type of stone that is artificially synthesized by adding resin and other trace elements to over 90% of quartz crystals. It has characteristics such as being not easy to scratch, not easy to penetrate, resistant to oil stains, and corrosion-resistant. When making a purchase, it is important to distinguish clearly based on these characteristics.
Observe the penetration and anti fouling effects. Pour some soy sauce on the countertop and wait for 15 minutes. If it can be wiped off, it is quartz. Similarly, stains such as coffee and soy sauce are not easily permeable when poured onto a quartz countertop.
Identify through scratches. Using a steel knife to scratch the countertop, in general, leaving white marks on the countertop is fake, while a real quartz countertop has black marks. But in special cases, dark countertops like desert gray are prone to leaving white marks.
Acidity testing for corrosion resistance. Pour a spoonful of white vinegar. If there are bubbles, it is fake, and if there is no reaction to white vinegar, it is real quartz.
